Please Contact Subway

Posted on August 17, 2012 by The VRG Blog Editor

As we previously mentioned, eight Subway Restaurants in Maryland, Washington DC, and Virginia tested three vegan meat substitutes: the Sweet Riblet, the Malibu Greek, and the Italian Black Bean subs. These items quickly sold out. (Our staff’s favorite was the Sweet Riblet.)

Compassion Over Killing would like readers to contact Subway to encourage Subway to continue this test and add the items nationwide. Please write positive notes encouraging the addition of vegan items to:

Please start carrying the vegan sandwich options in all Subways. I live in Arizona and would love to have the option. I’m still mad about your support of Michael Vick. At least try to make up for that dumb mistake.

  2. Debra says:

Please!!!! extend this service of the veggie sub!!!! I have gained a lot of weight and would like the opportunity to have the choice of trying them out I’m sure they’re good and I could be like Jerry, by losing a bunch of weight, I’ll joking aside I believe they would be at the big hit in the state of Michigan!!!! ;~)

  3. Kim says:

HEADS UP fellow veggies!!!! It doesn’t matter what you put on the sandwich, because they use L-cysteine in their bread. L-cysteine is derived from either duck feathers, hog hair, or worse…human hair. Human hair is mainly used in products from China, but is used in the US as well. Obviously, there is no such thing as a vegetarian or vegan sandwich there.

I was fooled for a very long time and now I’m mad as a hornet!!!
