LATE JULY MINI PEANUT BUTTER CRACKERS CONTAIN WHEY
In answer to a consumer question, Late July said:
We recently completed a thorough review of all Late July products and recipes. As a result of this review, we determined that the optimal recipe for this product includes peanut oil/whey. Because we are fully committed to providing consumers with transparency, clarity and the highest quality ingredients across our snack portfolio, we made the decision to update the front of the packaging and the ingredient statement to reflect the new ingredient.

I am 4 months late seeing this. I recently realized that Late July had changed packaging and product ingredients rendering the previously vegan crackers and peanut butter mini crackers as containing whey. Wrote to company – got similar form letter above. Plan on writing back to CEO but looking for others interested in an en mass to query to company about this unfortunate change – especially considering their interest in “health” and good stewardship etc and that why would you change a recipe to an inferior one that has so many negative impacts? I just can’t wrap my head around this. Looking for suggestions – wondering if there was any other feedback you got regarding this. Thanks.
