MOJAVE MARSHMALLOWS OUT OF STOCK

We previously reviewed a package of Mojave Mallows handmade vegan marshmallows that we were sent. Several Vegan Journal readers were unable to locate them on their website, and only saw non-vegetarian ones listed. We did locate the vegan variety listed on https://www.mouth.com/products/vegan-vanilla-marshmallows#variant=false However, they were out of stock. Reader Celeste contacted Mojave and was told that they “make vegan varieties from time to time” and the best way to find out when the next time might be is to join their email list or follow them on Instagram. Thanks Celeste.

We like supporting small companies that produce vegan products, but of course availability is sometimes a disadvantage. The situation reminds us of the old natural foods industry before the existence of Whole Foods and other stores/vegan restaurants with an ongoing business plan. The old ethics and pioneering spirit of creative startups is nice and should be supported, but it’s also good to have businesses that you know will always be open or have the foods available. That’s why we say there are always different approaches to promoting a vegan diet, and all can be supported, depending on your preferences.

Dandies vegan marshmallows of course are always great. Go to https://dandies.com/
