Letters to Editors
Thank you so much for having a page for vegetarian kids and teens!! Most people think it is pretty weird for a kid to be a vegetarian, but I am and it's my choice. Most people say things like, "It's not healthy for kids to be vegetarians because they don't get enough vitamins." Well, you can get vitamins from other stuff, too. How do you think elk and moose grow those humongous antlers and lose and grow new ones every year when all they eat is grass?!!
Thanks again.

P.S. It would be really cool if you did a magazine on vegetarianism for young adults and kids.
In response to International Maritime Stews in Issue 2, 2003:
I enjoyed reading the article and recipes about veg seafood dishes. I wanted to mention that real "ocean" flavor can be added by using nori as a seasoning. I usually substitute a portion of the salt ingredient...not the entire amount, as too much nori will impart a "fishy" taste that overpowers. The secret is in using just a "pinch."
I also enjoyed reading about saffron. One of my favorite flavors! I learned a thing or two about its preparation and usage.
