We were able to accomplish our goal and even do more in less time than anticipated! The VRG is in need of a handful of volunteers to come into our office for up to 3 hours to work on clerical tasks and scholarship responses. If you are interested in learning more about The Group and working alongside friendly faces please join us! Upcoming dates: February 18th & March 10 at 11 A.M. Please email [email protected] with your availability. We can always use extra help and volunteers between the hours 9-5, Monday through Friday. We would like to extend a special thank you to Roberta, a local high school student who has come into The VRG office and volunteered almost 40 hours over the past few months. She has been a special help and we hope to have involvement from more students like her soon! ********************************************************************* 4) MORE VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES The VRG's 2011-2012 Scholarship Contest is currently underway for college-bound high school seniors who are active in promoting vegetarianism. After we screen each application, we need help responding with a personal acknowledgment. This is a task that can be done from home. Applicants will be judged on their commitment to promoting a peaceful world through a vegetarian diet and lifestyle.
