5) MOONGLOW GALA IN NEW JERSEY
Celebrate the joy of living at a Moonglow Gala hosted by the American Vegan
Society on Sunday September 27 2015, from 4 to 8 PM, at The Greenview Inn,
Eastlyn Golf Course, in Vineland New Jersey. It's the evening of a "Blood
Moon" total lunar eclipse.
Executive Chef Rob Buono will feature fresh local ingredients in an elegant,
flavorful cuisine. At the height of the South Jersey harvest season, network
with others during the Hors d'Oeuvres Social, and then enjoy a Buffet Dinner
with old and new friends.
Listen and dance to the contrasting music styles of Blue Hippopotamus (alternative
rock--sultry and uplifting) and Doc Lou Giunta (familiar classical, modern,
and pop). The event includes a silent auction; see website to donate, sponsor,
or advertise. Proceeds from this occasion will be used for public education
about food choices for compassionate, health, and environmental reasons.
We don't know what or if the Blood Moon prophesizes. But we can promise a
brighter future for everyone when we show the animals mercy by leaving them
off our plates.
After August 1st, $75 adult, $50 student/low income, $100 supporter

8) LETTER FROM THE EDITOR
Hello Everyone,
I would like to briefly share with you a quick sweet cheat I use for my morning
smoothies that you may or may not have heard of or tried. I have a notorious
sweet tooth and am always looking for sweetners outside of refined sugars.
Every morning I drink a raw green veggie smoothie. I have been adding Synsepalum
dulcificum, more commonly known as the Miracle Fruit or Miracle Berry to my
smoothies. The small bright red fruit itself does not really have a flavor,
but when you add it to anything sour or bitter, viola sweetness! In other
words, it turns lemons into lemonade!
